Report Developer

About this job

The Report Developer provides functional and technical development in support of comprehensive report development from corporate data sources. Ensures the creation, delivery, and modification of queries, and reports; ensures management of reports for the CDW user base; ensures the successful deployment of business intelligence reports to the production environment; works with customers to develop detailed functional specifications.

The Report Developer should have the following skills and experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related discipline and five (5) years’ experience in report development is required. An additional four (4) years of report development experience on projects with similar scope may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Five (5) years of experience with COGNOS Business Intelligence software suite with at least four (4) years with COGNOS v8 or later OR five (5) years with a comparable COTS Business Intelligence Reporting tool with at least two (2) of those years on the current version.
  • Two (2) years’ experience creating reports and dashboards.
  • Four (4) years’ experience with an SQL language, such as Oracle. 
  • Three (3) years’ experience creating power cubes.
  • Completion of COGNOS Report Authoring training using COGNOS v8 (or later) suite.
  • Two (2) years’ experience with customer training and presentation
