Technical Recruiter

About this job

The Technical Recruiter will be responsible for guiding top talent through the recruiting pipeline to include the sourcing, screening, recruiting and interviewing of applicants for a variety of technical positions, including software engineers, system administrators, computer programmers, database administrators and acquisition professionals.  The Technical Recruiter will also be responsible for managing the work assignments and workload of the recruiting team (2-3 resources) as well as adhering to the existing SITEC recruiting process.  The ability to assess and improve the current process would be beneficial.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Minimum four (4) years of prior recruiting experience; IT recruiting experience strongly preferred
  • Traditional sourcing or recruiting experience
  • Knowledge and skill with Boolean searching
  • Ability to develop strategic working relationships with Recruiters, Program Managers and Sourcers
  • Ability to work pro-actively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and perform well under time constraints and changing deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Team-focused mindset
  • Ability to work in a small-company environment and able to be accountable for recruiting tasks and statuses


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Source, interview and select applicants for technical positions
  • Target passive prospects for positions using multiple sourcing approaches to include cold calling, referral programs, technical user groups, Boolean searches, and other media/networking tools like Twitter, GitHub, etc. in addition to traditional approaches such as CleranceJobs, Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Partner with Sourcers and Recruiters to create sourcing strategies, build candidate profiles, discuss search strategies, and maintain the Recruiting Workflow
  • Meet with Program Managers and Team Leads to determine job duties
  • Match applicants to job openings/requirements
  • Track job openings provided by customers and maintain working lists
  • Source for future job openings
  • List job postings on job boards, social media, corporate websites, and other possible channels
  • View applications, call applicants and perform phone screens
  • Arrange management interviews, coordinating schedules; arrange travel, lodging, and meals; greet interviewees; arrange office tours
  • Facilitate meetings/orientations for new hires
  • Work with Security department to request security clearance checks
  • Inform candidate of company’s decision
  • Direct and participate in job/career fairs
  • Maintain sourcing and recruiting databases
  • Provide work leadership for lower level employees
