Junior Design Operations Officer

About this job

Serve as a design operations officer for a DoD client for Analysis (DI) Design and Dissemination Division (D3). Coordinate with analysts, graphics designers, and editors to develop finished intelligence production for a DoD client. Ensure the graphics are completed on-time and have the look and feel needed to convey the appropriate message. Work in a fast-paced environment with ease, be detail-oriented, and convey urgency with professionalism to ensure deadlines are met.Apply experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office products to plan, design and develop cutting-edge information graphics for publication. Compile raw data from various sources, including in person, e-mail, briefings, meetings, and phone calls and develop comprehensive, clear, and visually engaging graphics, charts, and maps. Display knowledge of Web and multimedia technologies and experience with IT terminology, processes, and best practices. Interact with high-level senior government leaders. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with InDesign, Acrobat and Adobe Creative Suite 6
  • Self-starter with demonstrated customer support and collaboration skills
  • Multimedia development experience with knowledge of Flash and ActionScript 3
  • Some experience with mobile publishing for tablets and other mobile devices
  • Strong conceptual graphic designer, highly skilled at gathering raw data from various sources and developing comprehensive, visually engaging graphics
  • Ability to provide an online portfolio or samples at the time of interview
  • BA or BS Degree required



Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI (and willing to take polygraph if applicant doesn't already have one)

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines to translate ideas and concepts into professional communication products.
  • Ability to be effective and thrive when interacting with analysts and senior executives
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple assignments from conception to completion on time
  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
